The TGC gives students the edge to start and stay ahead. The graduate capabilities are designed to ensure that Taylor's graduates are proficient and skilled.
This portfolio is a device to map and showcases the student‟s personal development of Taylor‟s Graduate Capabilities during their course of study. Students are required to retain the following, depending on their programme requirements:
1. All studio and class work (current/previous sessions)
2. Academic transcripts
3. Journal (extracts as appropriate)
4. Specific 'Reflection' exercises
5. Peer assessment/feedback sheets
6. Records from Portfolio Interview with Year Convener
7. Records of Personal Achievement
8. CV (personal profile and resume)
9. other relevant extracurricular artefacts
Where am I at this stage?
Thus far, I personally think I have room for improvement in my studies. I do not have the discipline ( or lack of time - due to my hectic schedule) to study to attain excellent results; I also prefer to self study than take part in the Peer-To-Peer Tutoring (a program set up by Taylor's college where students learn from peers outside of classroom). It causes a struggle to cope with my studies (much less likely to excel in it).
Solution?
Have a study buddy. NOT A TUTOR (who's intention's are purely to make their CV look good)
TIME MANAGEMENT. Less time in dreamland and more time facing the books.
Keep to a specific routine - at least an hour of studying per day
Don't procrastinate. Procrastinating is the root of all evil (or failures, especially in a student's life in my opinion).
That's all for now.
